Mahim is one of Mumbais most prominent neighborhoods, Mahim railway station is a major transport hub on the Western railway network. Its name is derived from Mahimavati which means miraculous. Other names for the area are Mejambu, Maijim and Mahikawati. Connectivity The Mahim Causeway is a major connectivity lifeline in the locality and connects it to the northern suburbs of Mumbai. This link road runs till Bandra in the north of Mumbai. The Causeway also links the L.J. Road and Swami Vivekanand Road in addition to the Aslo General Arunkumar Vaidya Marg.
