Frazer Town
Frazer Town is situated in the north-east of Bengaluru. Established in 1910, this area derived its name from the tutor of Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV, scholar Stuart Frazer. Though it was renamed as Pulakeshinagar, the residents prefer to use its former name. This area was majorly developed under the British rule which is reflected in the British architecture and colonial bungalows of Gothic style that still survives here. The presence of several small and large-scale industries, besides IT and ITES firms, has earned Frazer Town immense prominence. Commercial areas such as Shivaji Nagar, MG Road, Mosque Road, Commercial Street etc. are also in close proximity which adds on the advantages. The surrounding localities include Wheeler Road, Coles Road, MM Road, St. Johns Church Road, and Richards Town. Connectivity This area is easily accessible from any part of the city owing to good connectivity. The east railway station is just 1km away, while the Bengaluru International Airport is 28km. The Shivajinagar bus terminus and KR Market Bus Terminus are at distance of 3km and 7km respectively. Mosque Road, Post Office, Clarence School, Slaughter House are the nearest bus stations. Real estate This centrally located area, which houses a cosmopolitan population, has been witnessing an upward trend in its real estate market.
